Dearest readers, today – yesterday, for some of you (and us!) – is January 28th, 2013, otherwise known as the two hundredth anniversary of the publication of Pride and Prejudice. Not much is going on to commemorate it, but we here at Hunky Dreamboats wanted to do something, particularly as we mostly review P&P fics and therefore end up talking about it the most.

Our decision? Well, while our reviews are very evenly distributed (seven in each category except the absolute lowest), we do review a lot of mediocre to terrible fics, most of them rather disheartening to read. So, to celebrate the occasion, we’re bringing you, and ourselves, the Pride and Prejudice fics that we enjoy. We’re not talking about “it’s technically okay, but bores me” or “well, the spelling is good…” or “there’s the seed of an interesting idea here.” We’re not even talking about “I liked it, despite a few things that really bothered me.” These are the stories that we unambiguously love, and over the next month (or so), a few of us are going to bring them to you. I’ll start it off this week, and we’ll continue from there.
